The Tianjin TEDA Library and Archives is located in the core area of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), comprising a complex of library, archives, and office building. It has been awarded the China Luban Prize (National Top Quality Engineering Award). The office tower stands 100 meters tall.
The main library features an elliptical structure, with its book storage area adopting a simple and functional rectangular form surrounded by reading halls. The solid mass of the book stacks contrasts vividly with the transparent reading spaces, transforming into a glittering "urban crystal chandelier" at night.
